Lord Manimal's 40K Papercraft

Thanks for stopping by!

This website is dedicated to the art of 40K papercraft, and the preservation of downloadable models. There are still a very few repository websites out there, such as the yahoo group BWC and BWC2, but many excellent files have vanished over the years as people's interests shift and web decay creeps in. Additionally, I keep an updated blog here, as I build through the 40K universe with available templates, along with tips and pictures of the build process. I don't presume to be an expert, by any means, but over the years, the papercraft community has lost many excellent sources of papercraft models and many of the model downloads that have survived have no reference pictures to let people know if they're even worth building. Many more are not in English, as many of our best designers are from abroad. As I work my way through my builds, I'll post updated pictures, as well as any tweaked files. I also create .GSD files, for the Silhouette SD, so that you may download them for use with your Silhouette SD.

First things first!

If you're new to the hobby, you're going to need a few basic things, and should check out THIS page. I give a brief rundown of the simple tools required, and an introductory how-to with a simple downloadable 40K-ish model.

You can read the official disclaimer HERE. For legal reasons, I submit that I am not the creator of these files; I provide links and review them with my own photographs of the models. I use no copyrighted or trademarked material in any way, and am in no way associated with GamesWorkshop Ltd. I am a lot of things, but a designer is not one of them. I also profit from this in no way, shape or form. I also do not host these files; I keep track of where they are hosted on the internet and review them with complete build instructions when applicable.

Additionally, Section 230 of Title 47 of the United States Code (47 USC § 230) states that "No provider or user of an interactive computer service shall be treated as the publisher or speaker of any information provided by another information content provider. Proof that God loves man is here!

The Silhouette SD as it's called in the United States (Graphtec Craftrobo elsewhere) is the quintessential tool in the modern paper builders tool belt. It's a fairly new technology in the West, as paper modeling has had a slow start here. Summarily, it's an automated cutter and scoring machine that can easily tie in PapeKura. Papekura is an interesting bit of software that helps to "unfold" 3d designs created in almost any 3d mock-up software, such as google SKETCHUP (another free bit of software).
